There's nothing like a funding form to make you stop and look at what you've built. Reading the Arts Council England National Portfolio Guidance guidance this week, I've found myself thinking about how far Candoco has come since last Autumn, when we took the decision to reimagine what a dance company of the future could look like, and how much we're still working out.

I have been part of Candoco’s story since its earliest days. As a disabled person working in the arts, that connection has meant more to me than I can easily put into words - though I’ll try.

Our recent CreativeLab Residency, led by Sarah Blanc and Vanessa Abreu, brought together a group of participants to explore their creative and choreographic voices in a supportive, inclusive space.
