Our Motion Shorts programme opens up Candoco’s platforms to D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent choreographers and performers at every stage of their career by programming a series of short dance films to be released across our 35th anniversary year.

This programme is a chance for dancers and film makers to reach new audiences and experiment with the short-form format. Shot on their own devices and designed for social media, the format is deliberately accessible – because great choreography speaks for itself. Together the films will be part of something that celebrates the full breadth of disabled choreographic talent.

Work will be released in curated phases throughout the year, building a growing body of film that reflects the richness and diversity of what disabled artists are making right now.

The open call out is now open! Find out more and apply by 11am on Monday 26 October.
