Kenwood In Motion

2015
The Kenwood in Motion project brought together English Heritage- Kenwood House & Candoco Dance Company in their first partnership collaborative. With the project setting out to work with 13-25 year old disabled and non-disabled participants in an exciting cross arts project during March & April 2015 at Kenwood House. Working with dance and visual artists, the participants explored & responded to the history and art collection at the site, culminating in two promenade performances.

The project was part of a wider audience development activities, which took place over the previous 18 months. A key aspect of the Heritage Lottery funded ‘Caring for Kenwood’ project was a focus on providing new and improved opportunities to widen and increase audience engagement with the site. The Kenwood in Motion project is a part of their approach to engage young people outside of formal education settings.

The project, was made possible through funding from The Arts Council, Grants for the Arts along with funding from the wider HLF Caring for Kenwood project and in-kind support from both project partners.
