1-Day Creative Intensive with Annie Hanauer

Sat 21 Nov
Mountview

Join dance artist and choreographer Annie Hanauer for a one-day intensive exploring movement, and self-authorship through improvisation, conversation and shared practice.

Annie’s work is about many things: dancing as a meeting place between people, dancing as a way to discover our own bodies, and dancing as a source of joy and pleasure that belongs to every body.

She is interested in highlighting the techniques and specialised knowledge that develop outside normative ideas of the body and dancing, and in how we move together with our differences as well as our commonalities.

In this session, Annie will share some of her current emerging research around moving from pleasure, consent and self-authorship, as well as re-exploring movement scores from previous works.

The day will be offered in conversation with the group, creating space for shared exploration, exchange and response.
