Tom Curteis (he/him)

I collaborate with a variety of artists, festivals and organisations across the sector, and have a particular passion for projects that centre inclusive practice, international collaboration and placemaking.

Alongside my role at Candoco Dance Company, I’m currently Senior Producer at Shubbak Festival and an Artist Mentor for Caravan Assembly. Previously, I’ve worked with a range of arts and cultural organisations, including LEEDS 2023 and the British Council.

I’m also lucky enough to be on the advisory board for Leeds International African Arts Festival, and to be a trustee for Freedom Festival Arts Trust, Hijinx Theatre and Kakilang.

One thing you should know about me is…

I really believe in the importance of spaces where creatives can grow and connect. This belief has led me to co-found the Cipta Seni Incubator, an international programme that brings together artists from the UK and Malaysia, creating opportunities for international collaboration and the development of new performance-based projects.
