ArtistLab

Mon 24 – Fri 28 Nov
Clod Ensemble, London
Join ArtistLab to grow your choreographic practice and discover new approaches to creation.

Artist Lab is a professional development opportunity for disabled and non-disabled dance artists ready to push their choreographic practice further.

Over the course of four afternoons, you’ll research, experiment, and create alongside Candoco Dance Company’s artists and guest makers. Each workshop explores a different approach to movement and choreography. You’ll engage with Candoco’s inclusive methodologies while sharpening your own artistic voice.

Who this is for:

Disabled or non-disabled artists with a vocational or professional dance practice who are:

  • Curious about further exploring the choreographic process and different perspectives on art making
  • Ready for critical, creative dialogue
  • Interested in expanding their practice through inclusive approaches

If you wish to deepen how you make work, this lab is for you!

What else we offer:

When you purchase a ticket to ArtistLab, you’ll also have the opportunity to access to our morning company class* free of charge, held on the same days from 10:30 am-12 pm. This means you can combine both sessions for a full day of exploration and creative growth.

*Company Class is a rest-friendly 90-minute movement-based company class led by Candoco Dance Artists. Through improvisation and task-based movement techniques, you’ll have space to connect with your body and expand your movement vocabulary. Designed for disabled and non-disabled participants, these sessions draw on Candoco’s inclusive teaching methodologies.
