Jane Mason

Initially trained in theatre at Bretton Hall (90-93), she was a founder member of Wayne McGregor’s Random Dance (94-97). She then worked extensively as a freelance dancer for various choreographers, creating her own interdisciplinary projects to tour, working in bespoke community contexts and collaborating in devised theatre. Her practice is broad and evolving, rooted in a desire to keep learning through the body, and exploring human connection and communication through movement.
Jane describes herself as an older dancer with blue eyes, small-ish frame and features. She has shoulder length greying hair tied up out of her face, often wearing a jumper to keep warm.
