Thank you to everyone that helped us raise £5,000 towards a vital new strand of our youth programme - Candoco Youth Dance Company.

Cando2 youth dance classes have been a flagship part of Candoco’s learning activity for nearly two decades; reaching hundreds of disabled and non-disabled young dancers aged 13 – 25, offering rich and rigorous dance experiences, increasing confidence, developing dance skills and nurturing creative potential, through weekly dance classes.

In 2020, Candoco will launch a new dance training company; Candoco Youth Dance Company, to meet the appetite and talent of young people today and to respond to the severe lack of training opportunities and progression routes for disabled young people.

This new youth company will meet on weekends for focussed technical training in a range of contemporary dance styles.  It will take creative inspiration from leading artists in the field, and involve making and performance experience, all within an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This training opportunity will provide individualised pathways into further education or towards a career in dance, if desired.

Our youth programme will cost £39,000 per year to deliver and we can only make this happen with your support.

Although the match funded part of the challenge is now over, you can still donate to support us.
