The Lost Thing

This Christmas, we will bring a musical reimagining of Shaun Tan’s beautifully illustrated book, The Lost Thing, to the newly renovated Linbury Theatre at the Royal Opera House.

What is it… and where does it belong? The discovery of something mysterious and out of place is the starting point for this new family show. In this enchanting collaboration between Candoco Dance Company and The Royal Opera, a cast of disabled and non-disabled singers, dancers and musicians, come together to tell a story about how we are all connected.

Sung in English

Suitable for ages 6+

Relaxed performances: The daytime performances on 15 December and 4 January will be modified to be more accessible for audience members with neurodiverse needs - including autism spectrum conditions or learning disabilities

To find out more about relaxed performances please visit the Access information page on the Royal Opera House website.

This is a co-production and co-commission between the Royal Opera and Candoco Dance Company. Based on the book by Shaun Tan.
