Olivia Edginton is a British dance artist based in London who originates from Edgworth Lancashire. She studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and graduated with a BA in Contemporary Dance (2015) and an MA in Dance Performance as a member of Transitions Dance Company (2016). During her studies Olivia collaborated with and performed work by dance makers: Dog Kennel Hill Project, Theo Clinkard, Matthias Sperling and Anna Williams.
Olivia works as an independent mover/maker/writer/collaborator. Her solo work has been presented at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts as part of interdisciplinary event Parallax 06 in 2015, and appeared as a performance fixture in visual arts exhibition Lost Forever at Gallery 223. Alongside sharing her work in the UK, Olivia has performed at platforms in Norway and Switzerland.
Olivia joined Candoco in March 2017 for the creation of Yasmeen Godder’s Face In, she has since performed the work of Jérome Bel, The Trisha Brown Company, Hetain Patel and Eun-Me Ahn.
